Job Description Summary:

This function covers Interest Rate and Currency Swaps/Derivatives area. The incumbent should ideally have a good understanding of the product's or process's daily operations but may require guidance on more complex issues. The individual is expected to cover a client to originate and execute transactions for client. This individual may have oversight of a small team of junior staff to ensure all daily responsibilities are completed. The individual at this level has some understanding of the firm's different businesses and the related economics. Depending on the qualifications, the individual may also be considered for product development role such as Structuring.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist senior marketers with client coverage and derivatives trade execution.
  • Maintain client engagement through regular communication and strategic updates.
  • Drive business opportunities and keep stakeholders informed.
  • Create presentations, commentary, and contribute to special projects.
  • Coordinate across internal teams to support derivatives marketing.
  • Ensure timely issue resolution and compliance with MUFG standards.
  • Partner with traders to structure and execute client trades.
  • Promote cross-selling and collaboration across GMDA and MUFG.
  • Support leadership on profitability, efficiency, and strategy.
  • Provide team coverage as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Native-level bilingual in English and Japanese.
  • Strong communication, quantitative, and analytical skills.
  • Adaptable team player with ability to work independently.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Math, or related field preferred.
  • Candidates without prior experience in sales and trading within financial markets may still be considered if they demonstrate a high level of potential and aptitude for growth.

The typical base pay range for this role is between $135K - $200K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
