Medical Records/Central Supply - We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Records Clerk and Organized Central Supply Tech to join our team.

Experience with Point Click Care (PCC) preferred

Health care experience preferred (SNF, LTC) 

Day in the Life of Medical Records looks like:

Upload documents, patient visits, MD notes, new admissions, categorize documents, photo of residents on file, follow HIPAA privacy procedures. 

Normal working hours 8:00AM - 4:30PM, may require rotating weekends based on facility need.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining patient medical records in accordance with healthcare regulations and facility standards.


Day in the Life of Central Supply Clerk:

Organize, Order and Distribute Supplies to departmetns.

Responsibilities:

Organize and maintain paper and electronic medical records in compliance with regulatory requirements and facility policies

Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and security of all medical records

Process release of information requests in accordance with patient privacy regulations

Coordinate with healthcare providers to obtain and update patient records

Audit records for compliance and completeness, and assist in quality improvement initiatives

Assist in the coding and indexing of medical records for billing and statistical purposes

Provide support to healthcare staff by retrieving and organizing patient records for appointments, admissions, and other needs

Maintain confidentiality and security of all medical records and patient information 

Manage Central Supply area, put away supplies and keep areas stocked and available

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in Health Information Management or related field preferred

Proven experience working with medical records in a healthcare setting

Knowledge of medical terminology, healthcare regulations, and electronic health record systems

Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping

Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards

Proficiency in using computer systems and medical record software
