Job description

Job Description One Tech Engineering is looking for a Mechanical Designer for a position located in Wausau, Wisconsin. The Mechanical Designer will create detailed and assembly drawings of design components and assemblies using computer-aided design (CAD) software and standard drafting techniques. The candidate must be a US Citizen or a green card holder, the position is not eligible for sponsorship.

The candidate should have an Associate's degree (two-year college or technical school). Local candidates preferred. This is not a remote position.

Mechanical Designer Responsibilities: Select and design parts to meet functional, cost and delivery requirements, and create parts lists used for the procurement, manufacturing and installation of equipment. Consult with engineers to discuss and interpret design concepts, and determine requirements of detailed drawings. Understand manufacturing and installation processes and what is required on detail and assembly drawings to accomplish them.

Read and understand schematics and drawings of electrical systems. Maintain parts database and drawing libraries. Review work performed by his or her peers for correctness.

Requirements for the Mechanical Designer: Associate's degree (two-year college or technical school). Computer Skills including Autodesk Mechanical Desktop, Autodesk Inventor, Infor, Microsoft Office Knowledge of Geometric Tolerancing, Welding Practices and Symbols and Hydraulic Circuits and Symbols Must be willing to work overtime, weekdays, and weekends to meet customer service requirements.
