Job description

Cranemasters is seeking a skilled and dependableMechanic to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing mechanical failures, performing repairs and rebuilds, and delivering routine preventive maintenance on a wide range of heavy equipment. This position also requires participation in 24/7 emergency response operations, providing critical field repairs when equipment failures occur.

We are looking for a safety-focused professional who takes pride in delivering high-quality work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical failures using advanced mechanical knowledge and standard procedures

Perform complex repairs, rebuilds, and modifications on heavy equipment including cranes, dozers, excavators, trucks, and diesel engines

Respond to emergency service calls, including nights/weekends/holidays

Accurately complete all required documentation (work orders, time sheets, inspection reports, etc.)

Maintain a safe, clean work environment

Follow all safety policies and support team training efforts

Skills/Qualifications

High school diploma/GED; technical training preferred

5+ years experience with heavy equipment repair

ASE certifications and DOT/FMCSA knowledge (preferred)

Valid driver's license (CDL A/B preferred)

Strong troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills

Ability to work under pressure and maintain 24/7 availability

Physical Requirements

Lift up to 50 lbs regularly

Work in shop and field environments in all weather conditions

Stand, walk, bend, and work extended hours as needed
