Job description

Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Landscape Small Engine Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of small engines and power equipment. If you’re passionate about engines, enjoy problem-solving, and take pride in quality workmanship, we’d love to hear from you!.

Full-Time

Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Diagnose and repair small engine (2-stroke and 4-stroke)
  • Perform routine maintenance and tune-ups
  • Order and install replacement parts
  • Maintain shop organization, cleanliness, and safe working conditions.
  • Provide excellent customer service and explain repairs clearly
  • Uphold a positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow within the mechanic team.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong knowledge of small engine repair, 2-stroke and 4-stroke engines, and power equipment systems (Certification a plus)
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
  • Comfortable using a variety of shop tools, diagnostic software, and repair manuals.
  • Excellent communication skills with a strong commitment to customer service.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple work orders efficiently.
  • Ability to work independently and as par of a team

Credentials and Experience:

  • Prior experience as a Service Mechanic, Equipment Technician, or similar role preferred.
  • 1-3 years of hands-on experience in small engine repair or related field
  • Forklift operation experience is a plus – certification provided


Physical Demands

  • Employee must possess the ability to lift, carry, push and pull materials and objects weighing between 40-50lbs
  • Required to bend, stoop, kneel, reach and climb to perform work
  • May be required to stand, walk and use hands-fingers for long periods of time
  • May be required to look at the computer screen for long periods of time
