HSS is seeking a General Manager for our client.

We are seeking an experienced hospitality leader with a proven track record of driving operational excellence, team development, exceptional guest service, and financial performance. This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of restaurant operations, leading both Front of House (FOH) and Back of House (BOH) teams, while ensuring a positive guest experience, efficient operations, and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all daily restaurant operations to ensure exceptional service and operational excellence
  • Lead, hire, train, coach, develop, and when necessary, terminate team members
  • Direct and support both Front of House and Back of House management teams
  • Create and manage employee schedules to meet business demands while controlling labor costs
  • Manage purchasing, inventory levels, and vendor relationships
  • Oversee facility maintenance and ensure the restaurant is well-maintained and fully operational
  • Ensure food quality, consistency, cleanliness, and outstanding guest satisfaction
  • Resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally through effective service recovery
  • Manage budgets, labor costs, food costs, inventory, and overall operating expenses
  • Develop strategies to drive sales, profitability, and overall business performance
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, sanitation, and company standards
  • Foster a positive, team-oriented culture focused on accountability, performance, and guest satisfaction

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3-5 years of restaurant General Manager experience
  • Proven experience leading both Front of House and Back of House operations
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills
  • Experience with budgeting, P&L management, labor controls, inventory, and cost management
  • Demonstrated ability to increase sales and improve operational performance
  • Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and guest service skills
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Knowledge of health department regulations and food safety standards
  • Experience using restaurant POS systems and scheduling software preferred

Compensation

The pay range for this position is $60,000 to $70,000 and is based on experience.

Additional compensation may include discretionary bonus opportunities.
