Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Care Staff member to join our team in providing essential support within our shelter operations. This part-time position requires individuals who are committed to ensuring the safety and security of our guests while meeting their immediate needs. The role involves working on Saturdays and Sundays from 3 PM to 11 PM.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain an approachable and engaging attitude toward guests and visitors, providing support and assistance with their needs.
  • Assist in supervising the nightly and weekend management and maintenance of facilities, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and security.
  • Enforce the rules and regulations that guests agreed to follow upon entrance into the shelter.
  • Manage emergencies and provide brief crisis management as needed.
  • Supervise meal preparation and distribution of food and supplies.
  • Shift: Weekends only

Rate: $18.00 hour

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Previous experience in Human Services preferred.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Ability to speak Spanish, highly preferred.
