Job description

Position Summary

The primary responsibilities of the Embroider and Laser Printing Specialist are to coordinate and maintain the activities of generating embroidery and laser printing sales, while building and maintaining customer relationships.

Major Responsibilities

The major responsibilities for this position include:

• Digitizing artwork into embroidery formats for machine stitching.

• Creating and editing laser-ready artwork for precise printing.

• Adjusting designs to fit different product sizes and placements.

• Setting up embroidery machines with the correct thread colors, needles, and stabilizers.

• Operating laser printers, adjusting power and focus settings for various materials.

• Monitoring machine performance and troubleshooting minor issues.

• Precisely placing designs on garments or substrates.

• Stitching embroidery designs with high quality and consistency.

• Performing laser etching on materials like wood, leather, acrylic, etc.

• Inspecting finished products for stitch quality, alignment, and laser engraving accuracy.

• Identifying and addressing any defects or inconsistencies.

• Understanding client design needs and specifications.

• Communicating with clients regarding production timelines and any necessary adjustments.

Required Skills:

• Proficiency in embroidery software (Floriani)

• Knowledge of laser cutting and engraving techniques

Minimum Requirements

The minimum requirements for this position include the following:

Education/Training: High School degree or G.E.D. equivalent, some college preferred. Possess a vast product knowledge of consumable products along with a willingness to learn.

• Experience in a retail environment either in marketing, sales, or back office.

• Skills/Knowledge: Excellent quantitative and computer skills. Analytical and pricing knowledge with the ability to conduct comparison analysis and make sound decisions.

• Knowledge of retail computer systems, MS Word and Excel

• Excellent communication skills, exceptional organizational ability, high attention to detail, and ability to multi-task.

• Ability and willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays to meet the needs of the business

Physical Requirements

The minimum physical requirements for this position include:

• Move and handle boxes of merchandise and fixtures throughout the store, which entails lifting, climbing ladders and to perform all functions as set forth by management

• The ability to perform prolonged standing (up to 11-12 hours a day), walking, reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, pulling, lifting and carrying up to 40 lbs. with or without assistance.
