Job description

Embroidery Central is a fun and energetic company looking for an embroidery machine operator to join our team. Embroidery Central is a fast growing company that offers wholesale contract embroidery and heat transfer decoration service across the United States. We create custom items for a variety of clients including businesses, schools, clubs, sports teams, automobile manufacturer, as well as individuals. We are interested in a self motivated, flexible, and detail-oriented person to work full-time assisting with custom orders for our clientele.

Embroidery experience is a plus, but not necessary.

Embroidery Machine Operator - Responsibilities

  • Individual will use basic skills to setup and operate a 6 Head Embroidery Machine and Heat Transfer Machine.
  • Have a professional, fun, and positive attitude.
  • Fixing and alerting management of any errors during production.
  • Working well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Read and interpret work orders.
  • Be able to effectively self-manage and organize jobs in order to complete orders in a timely manner.
  • Trim and clean finished embroidery product.
  • Have a strong attention to detail and checking each garment for high quality standards.
  • Continually work with new staff on becoming better machine operators as a team.
  • Maintain a clean work space.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Embroidery Machine Operator - Qualifications

Individual must work well under pressure, meeting multiple and sometimes competing deadlines. Individual must also demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisors at all times.

  • 1 year of embroidery experience is preferred, but not required as we are willing to train a quality candidate.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Required to use wrists, upper arms, and shoulders in repetitive movements.
  • Required to bend, twist, and reach continuously.
  • Excellent hand/eye coordination.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
