Job description

The East Moline Public Library is seeking a patient and attentive, customer-service-oriented individual with strong communication skills to fill a full-time position assisting patrons at the reference desk. This position requires a Library Technical Assistant certificate or Bachelor's degree in a related field. Primary job duties include providing reader's advisory, assisting patrons with the use of computers and topical research, locating materials, and using library equipment. This person will also serve as a Notary Public. Training and licensure to be paid for by the library. 

Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Friday 9AM-5PM; Tuesday and Thursday 4PM-8PM; Saturday 9AM-3PM. This position will work every other Saturday and be off Tuesday for Saturday. Total hours per pay period will be 66. 

Benefits: Health, vision, dental, and life insurance; vacation, sick, bonus, bereavement, and parental leave; twelve paid holidays; IMRF pension.
