Position Overview:
The Sr. Help Desk Support Technician maintains and support computer systems and networks aiming for the highest functionality. They must have knowledge of Warehouse process, computer software, hardware, RF equipment and a variety of internet applications. The ideal candidate will have great troubleshooting abilities and attention to detail. The goal is to build and maintain efficient operational performance within the warehouse to optimize the role of technology on business sustainability in a 3PL packaging and fulfillment warehouse.
Work Location: Ocala, Fl, Distribution Center.
Work Schedule: Second Shift: Monday - Friday, 4:00 PM - 12:30 AM
Work Travel: Up to 10% domestic travel.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain local networks in ways that optimize performance
  • Perform system trouble shooting and analysis of warehouse operational equipment and systems
  • Develop strategies for short- and long-term goals to meet or exceed expectation of the warehouse operations
  • Support PowerShell scripting/automating
  • Own the relationship with between technical operations and production operations
  • Package software installations on many computers at a time
  • Ensure security and privacy of networks and computer systems
  • Perform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems
  • Set up workstations with computers and necessary peripheral devices (routers, printers etc.)
  • Check computer hardware (HDD, mouses, keyboards etc.) to ensure functionality
  • Install and configure appropriate software and functions according to specifications
  • Provide orientation and guidance to users on how to operate new software and computer equipment
  • Maintain records/logs of repairs and fixes and maintenance schedule
  • Identify computer or network equipment shortages and place orders
  • Follow corporate and site-specific Good Manufacturing Practices and report noncompliance when observed.
  • Observe all company safety rules and assist in enforcement as appropriate.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma and relevant work experience in lieu of an advanced degree.
  • 3+ years of end-user support experience.
  • 1+ year of IT support experience.
  • Working knowledge of:
    • Microsoft Windows 10 and Microsoft Server product line
    • Microsoft Office Suite
    • TCP/IP networking, VPN technologies
    • Data backup, virus protection, and network system monitoring
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to manage technical operations.
  • Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
  • Outstanding organizational and time-management skills.
  • Effective communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation).
  • Solid understanding of computer systems, networks, and internet security principles.
  • Ability to participate in on-call support within a 24/7 operational environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • Experience with RF technology.
  • In-depth knowledge of data privacy principles and advanced network security.
