Family First Legal Group is seeking a motivated and proactive Discovery Coordinator to assist attorneys in family law matters. This role primarily involves extensive legal assistant responsibilities such as gathering, organizing, analyzing and maintaining financial documents to ensure strict compliance with court-ordered discovery and supports the legal team with a positive, adaptable approach. The ideal candidate will have previous law office experience and/or financial/banking experience, proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace and Adobe Acrobat Pro, excellent computer and typing skills, Client driven case management, professional communication and a "can-do" attitude to thrive in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities

Key Responsibilities Include:


  • Gathering, organizing and maintaining financial documents from Clients, Opposing Counsel/Opposing Party and Third Parties
  • Compiling and drafting court required Discovery responses such as Certificate of Compliance with Mandatory Disclosure, Response to Request for Production and Answers to Interrogatories while adhering to their court-ordered requirements
  • Reviewing and notating deficiencies in discovery and drafting correspondence highlighting same
  • Direct communication with Clients, Opposing Counsels and Third Parties
  • Electronic file management
  • Assistance with general legal assistant and administrative duties, such as printing, collating and binding hearing and trial binders before the required deadlines, as needed

What It Takes To Succeed:

  • A minimum of 1 years Family Law experience is preferred
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Flexibility and willingness to grow and adapt with the role as the law firm grows
  • Ability to follow specific and detailed instructions in oral and written form to meet the needs of the role
  • Organize and properly prioritize duties using critical thinking to meet daily deadlines
  • Excellent people skills and the ability to relate to and connect with Clients and team members
  • A positive, outgoing, and caring demeanor, no matter how busy

  • This is an in-person position reporting to our Cape Coral office location
