DIGITAL CUTTER OPERATOR


Position – Digital Cutter Operator

Job Location – Menomonee Falls, WI

Starting Date – Immediate

Employment Term – Temp-to-Hire

Employment Type – Full-Time

Work Hours (Shift) – 1st shift, 7am to 3:30pm

Starting Pay – Depends on Experience, $19 to $25 an hour

Required Education – High School Diploma/GED

Required Experience – At least 1 year of digital cutting experience


Job Summary As a Digital Cutter Operator, you will use digital cutters and lasers to convert specialty materials like adhesive tapes, films, and foams into custom products. You will be responsible for machine setup, lamination, and performing in-process measurements to ensure every part meets customer specifications. This role is perfect for a detail-oriented individual with strong mechanical aptitude and a focus on quality.


Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate digital cutters and lasers according to written instructions and customer specifications.
  • Perform lamination and material preparation for various specialty materials including rubbers, plastics, and foams.
  • Conduct regular in-process inspections and document findings to maintain strict quality standards.
  • Troubleshoot basic equipment issues and accurately record production time and material usage for each job.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area, adhering to all 5S and safety protocols.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year of related machine operation or training (Zund or laser experience is a plus).
  • Strong math skills, including the ability to work with fractions, decimals, and ratios.
  • Mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity for handling specialty materials and machine tools.
  • Ability to stand for the duration of a shift and lift up to 50 lbs.
