Summary: To provide general landscape including BMP labor and complete the job in a safe and
efficient, productive manner.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Use tools and safety equipment properly
  • Native plant installation with amendments (browse control cages, mulched basins, etc.) Irrigation
  • installation, testing, maintenance, and removal
  • Soil preparation, blending, and restoration techniques
  • Native seed application (hand-broadcasting, hydro-seeding, and drill seeding-capability)
  • Infrastructure (concrete, rock, bioengineering, fencing)
  • Erosion control (netting, fabric, straw application, wattles, etc.)
  • Provide any labor as instructed by supervisor
  • Help maintain a clean amp; safe job site
  • Willingness to learn and develop good communication skills
  • Work as part of a team and take direction
  • Maintain and care for company equipment, tools and vehicles
  • Report problems on job site and missing or broken equipment immediately
  • Performs other related duties as required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of standard construction procedures, including heavy equipment operation,underground work, irrigation, chainsaw, hardscaping and landscaping.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and procedures, OSHA requirements and training requirements.
  • Power tool operation/ Maintenance /trailering experience
  • Good health and strength for physical work and comfortable with heavy lifting
  • Comfortable working in inclement weather
Education and/or Experience:
  • Desired interest in Natural Resource Conservation or learning about it
  • Desired Stormwater experience
  • Desired Bilingual English/Spanish
  • CPR/First Aid
Travel: Typical work week, home by end of day. Occasional out of town work, no more than a
week at a time. Per diem and lodging provided.
Special Requirements:
This position can be seasonal, but during busy times, full time. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, typically starting at 6:00 a.m. Start time and end time may vary as duties
demand. Willing to work overtime, holidays, flexible schedule and weekends as required by workload and/or requested by Superintendent.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the
employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing all day. The employee must
frequently lift or move items up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move items up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision,
peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is exposed to a variety of extreme
weather conditions at construction job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.
