Job description

Position Summary - Pay Range - $29.27/hr
A Landscaper is required to be able to complete a large variety of tasks throughout the day. Landscaper tasks can be generally categorized as manual labor and are related to landscaping.
Essential Functions
  • Must adhere to the company's Service culture - 4 Keys to creating guests for life.
  • Must participate in all hotel required meetings and trainings.
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform/business attire and nametag.
  • Landscaper maintenance tasks include: operating different types of walking lawn mowers, raking of debris, use of string trimmers, operation of powered debris blowers, use of chainsaw, and operation of other motorized equipment.
  • Tasks specific to golf course maintenance include: raking bunkers, mowing greens, changing hole locations, hand watering, blowing debris, filling ball washers, filling water coolers, moving tee markers, etc.
  • In addition, Landscaper are often called upon to complete or assist in all tasks on the course including: special projects, irrigation repair, fertilizer and chemical applications, and other general maintenance tasks.
  • Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner.
  • Ensure that all emergency and life safety equipment and systems are inspected, tested, and certified per resort standards or authority having jurisdiction.
  • Actively participate in energy conservation programs per Silverado Resort's standards.
  • Ensure that productivity is fully documented for yourself and team members to ensure maximum productivity is being achieved.
  • Abide by all resort policies and safety rules.
  • Perform other duties as requested by management.

Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
  • Valid drivers license.

Working Conditions and Schedule
  • Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
  • Heavy work - Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 50 pounds of force frequently and/or 20 pounds constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
  • Must be able to stand and work for extended periods of time.
  • Able to bend, stoop or reach as needed.
  • Must be able to frequently lift and carry 30 pounds/50 pounds with assistance.
  • Must be able to work in an outdoor environment with varying temperatures, including temperatures above 100° F.
  • Must be able to use hand tools.
  • Work requires exposure to dirt, odors, noise, slippery/unstable/unlevel working surfaces.
  • This role requires operating a utility vehicle.
