Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Cath Lab RN for a travel assignment at a 536-bed acute care teaching hospital in Portland, OR, with on-call requirements and Epic EMR experience required.

Details
  • Cath Lab unit within a short-term acute care, academic teaching hospital with 536 total staff beds
  • Day shift schedule: 4x10-hour shifts, 7:00 AM โ€“ 5:00 PM
  • Patient ratio is 1:1
  • On-call is required on both weekdays and weekends
  • Weekends are not required
  • Charting is performed in Epic
  • Floating between facilities within the state is expected based on unit needs; facilities include locations in Milwaukie, Newberg, Portland, Hood River, Willamette Falls, Seaside, and Saint Vincent
  • Scrubs are provided for Cath Lab staff
  • No parking fee at the facility
Requirements
  • Active OR RN license required
  • Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab RN experience required
  • Epic EMR proficiency required
  • Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
  • Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting required for consideration
  • A personal vehicle is required for this assignment
Additional Information
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Travelers may be floated to other units and facilities across the Providence Health & Sound system based on skill set and operational needs; refusal to float may result in assignment termination
  • Former permanent Providence employees must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not reside within 50 miles of the submitting facility
  • Candidates who have previously worked at a Providence facility in any capacity (permanent, travel, or per diem) must disclose the location(s) and dates worked
  • Minimal RTO is expected for this position; a small number of days may be approved, but excessive RTO requests may impact placement
  • A 13-week contract
