Job Summary
The primary responsibility for this position is to conduct point count inspection, FR fabric evaluation, routine testing of fabrics, raw materials and finished goods. Report test results and keep year to date information organized and stored on a shared drive in the appropriate folders

Associate Responsibilities
  • Ability to learn and perform point count inspection, FR fabric evaluations, various routine lab testing and audits. Operate all lab equipment, including but not limited to the testing apparatus', inspection machine (re-roll machine) and Spectrophotometer as prescribed by the Fabric Testing manual.
  • Focus on the specific testing instructions and ensure accuracy of results
  • Maintain all systems and procedures associated with Fabric Testing. This includes but is not limited to the fabric, finished goods and raw material computer records, filling and retrieval of information, routine maintenance of testing equipment
  • Conduct and complete non - routine testing as required in a timely and efficient manner
  • Record test results for all Fabrics, Full Package items and Raw Materials in the proper files
  • Report all fabric, finished goods and raw material physical failures / issues to the Product Evaluation Supervisor and the Raw Materials Analyst
  • Possess a high attention to detail and the ability to follow specific instructions or procedures
  • Possess a high degree of enthusiasm and commitment to doing the job right
  • Ability to handle a variety of tasks simultaneously
  • Possess a self-starting ability with a basic sense of urgency to get things done
  • Ability to work with close supervision

Required Education
  • High school diploma

Required Skills & Experience
  • Must be fluent in verbal and written English skills.
  • Must be experienced in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & Outlook)
  • 0-1 year's experience with textiles.
  • Previous work experience in a lab testing environment (Preferred)
  • Ability to work in an upstairs office that is a humidity/temperature-controlled environment. 65% Humidity +/-2% and 70 degrees +/- 2 degrees
  • Ability to physically lift boxes (approximately 40 to 75 lbs.), unpack and hang samples, put fabric rolls on inspect machine, and drive forklift when necessary, etc.
