Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Cardiac Cath Lab Radiology Technologist to join our esteemed cardiology team. In this role, you will play a critical part in diagnosing and treating cardiovascular conditions through catheterization procedures. Your expertise in imaging and patient care will be essential in ensuring successful outcomes and enhancing the quality of life for our patients.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist cardiologists in performing diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures, including angioplasties, stent placements, and electrophysiology studies.
  • Operate and maintain sophisticated imaging equipment to capture high-quality images of the heart and blood vessels.
  • Prepare patients for procedures, explaining the process, and addressing any questions or concerns to ensure their comfort and cooperation.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and responses during procedures, intervening as necessary to ensure their safety and well-being.
  • Maintain a sterile field and adhere to strict infection control protocols throughout all procedures.
  • Document and maintain accurate patient records, including procedural details, imaging results, and patient responses.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
Qualifications:
  • Associate degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification.
  • California state licensure as a Radiologic Technologist.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a cardiac Cath lab or interventional radiology setting.
  • Proficiency in operating cardiac catheterization equipment and related software.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients, physicians, and team members.
