Rheumatology opening in OklahomaTulsa, OKFull timePosition OverviewA compassionate and skilled Rheumatologist is sought to join a growing outpatient rheumatology practice in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This opportunity is ideal for a physician interested in serving a diverse adult patient population within an expanding department. The current team includes multiple physicians and advanced practice providers, and an additional provider is being added to meet increasing community demand.Key Responsibilities* Provide outpatient care for adult patients with a broad range of rheumatologic conditions* Manage autoimmune diseases, inflammatory disorders, and musculoskeletal conditions* Participate in hospital call rotation, approximately one weekend in six, with weekday relief when covering weekends* Utilize Epic electronic medical records with Dragon voice recognition for documentation* Perform joint injections and biopsies as appropriate (muscle biopsies referred to general surgery)* Collaborate closely with onsite specialists, including endocrinology, otolaryngology, podiatry, dermatology, ophthalmology, pediatrics, and urgent careWork Schedule Expectations* Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.* Approximately 4.5 days per week dedicated to patient care* Weekend call rotation of 1:6* Weekday and weeknight call shared among the physician teamDepartment Highlights* Equipped with ultrasound and microscopy for diagnostic and procedural support* Infusion services available through affiliated inpatient and outpatient treatment centers* Strong collaborative culture with easy access to subspecialty consultation, including pain management referrals* Pediatric rheumatology services are not offered locally; however, adolescent patients (ages 11 and older) may be seen for consultation* Streamlined documentation through Epic with Dragon voice recognitionQualifications* Board certified or board eligible in Rheumatology* Experience with adult rheumatology and musculoskeletal conditions preferred* Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment
