As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a shelter location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and staff. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and report concerns promptly. DayTime Sat 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

Sun 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and service providers by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, resident concerns, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the shelter location, surrounding grounds, entry points, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access to the location, verify visitors and deliveries according to site procedures, and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
  • Complete accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and other required documentation while maintaining a professional and respectful presence in a shelter environment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
