About the Role:

The Industrial Housekeeping Manager plays a critical role in maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for overseeing all housekeeping operations within the facility, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company standards. The manager will lead a team of housekeeping staff, coordinating schedules, training, and performance management to uphold high standards of cleanliness and organization. Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Management, Environmental Health and Safety, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial housekeeping or facility management within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience managing teams and coordinating large-scale housekeeping operations.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, safety standards, and environmental compliance related to industrial housekeeping.
• Ability to read and interpret safety data sheets (SDS), cleaning chemical labels, and facility blueprints.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in Occupational Safety and Health (e.g., OSHA 30-hour or Certified Safety Professional).
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies to improve housekeeping processes.
• Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) or housekeeping management software.
• Demonstrated success in implementing sustainability initiatives such as waste reduction and green cleaning practices.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills with a track record of fostering team engagement and development.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and monitor housekeeping procedures and schedules to ensure all areas of the manufacturing facility are maintained to the highest standards.
• Supervise, train, and evaluate housekeeping staff, providing guidance and support to promote productivity and adherence to safety protocols.
• Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify and address cleanliness issues, potential hazards, and compliance with OSHA and other regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with production and safety teams to coordinate housekeeping activities that minimize disruption to manufacturing operations while maintaining a safe work environment.
• Manage inventory and procurement of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring cost-effective use of resources and timely availability.
• Prepare and maintain detailed reports on housekeeping activities, incidents, and improvements for senior management review.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on enhancing housekeeping efficiency, safety, and environmental sustainability.
