JOB SUMMARY

Calder Casino is an energetic, growing organization that is looking for talented, customer service driven individuals to join the team. As a Host/Hostess of The Kitchen, you will provide a warm welcome to our guests and be the first impression to their dining experience. The Host/Hostess is responsible for greeting restaurant patrons with a positive friendly attitude.  Assures guests are seated in a timely manner assuring that guests have a favorable dining experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assign wait staff to service patrons where seated.
  • Answering phone, greeting customers, and keeping track of seat availability in restaurant.
  • Assisting wait staff. 
  • Responsible for assisting with bussing and resetting tables.
  • Responsible for cleaning host area, stairway, and entrance to restaurant.
  • Ensure the safety and security of employees and guests.
  • Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Knowledge of concession stand operations.
  • Maintaining interpersonal working relationship among all personnel.
  • Oral and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and handle high-pressure situations in an interruptive environment.
  • Must be able to stand for 6-8 hour shifts.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent.  One-year restaurant experience preferred.
  • Ability to obtain a valid gaming license.
