We are looking for a reliable, friendly Cashier to join our team at Price Chopper. We are currently hiring for one full-time position and several part-time roles. In this role, you'll provide a smooth and engaging checkout experience while supporting sales and helping create a positive, guest-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities & Job Duties
  • Provide friendly, helpful, and respectful guest service at all times
  • Accurately scan and process guest purchases while maintaining speed and accuracy
  • Handle cash, credit, and electronic payments following proper procedures
  • Stay informed on promotions, pricing, and store initiatives to support sales and enhance the guest experience
  • Engage with guests to answer questions, make suggestions, and help connect them with products that meet their needs
  • Communicate clearly with teammates and leadership to support smooth front-end operations
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe checkout and front-end area
  • Stock, face, and assist with product placement as needed
  • Operate POS systems, scanners, and related equipment accurately
  • Monitor inventory levels near checkout areas and report issues
  • Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards
  • Assist with bagging, restocking, cleaning, and supporting other departments as needed
  • Remain productive during slower periods by supporting store presentation and identifying opportunities to improve the guest experience
