About the Role

Talarico for Texas is building a people-powered campaign rooted in grassroots support, integrity, and the belief that politics should work for everyday Texans. James Talarico's campaign for the U.S. Senate is committed to engaging communities across Texas through authentic relationships and meaningful partnerships. We are seeking a full-time Political Manager to support the day-to-day operations of the campaign's political engagement program and help strengthen relationships with community stakeholders across the state.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations and administrative workflow of the Political & Coalitions Department
  • Develop and maintain internal trackers for political outreach, endorsements, coalition engagement, events, and follow-up
  • Ensure timely completion of briefing materials, meeting memos, call sheets, and other departmental deliverables
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal requests to the Political & Coalitions
  • Manage departmental project timelines, ensuring key deadlines and deliverables are met
  • Oversee data management and maintain accurate records in campaign databases
  • Identify opportunities to improve departmental systems, processes, and efficiencies
  • Provide operational support for candidate events, surrogate engagements, and major campaign initiatives as assigned

Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of campaign, government, nonprofit, or operations experience
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Proven ability to build and improve organizational systems and processes
  • Ability to anticipate needs, solve problems proactively, and operate independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and political tools (e.g., NGP, VAN)
  • Ability to work nights and weekends as campaign needs require
  • Access to reliable transportation

Benefits

Location: Austin, Texas (statewide travel required)

Salary: $6,000-7,000 per month
