Job description

We are looking to expand our Golf Course Maintenance team at the beautiful Springfield Golf & Country Club!

In this role, you be responsible for ensuring the golf course stays in great shape throughout the year. Your tasks in this role will be performed independently under the direction of the Golf Course Superintendent.

This is a primarily outdoor job.

Rate of pay depends on experience.

Responsibilities

  • Operate power-driven equipment including mowers and weed eaters
  • General landscaping tasks including mowing and trimming
  • Maintain grounds in a neat and professional manner
  • Frequent standing, walking, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, kneeling, and crouching.
  • Repetitive lifting and moving heavy objects (50+ lbs.).
  • Ability to operate tools, machinery, and equipment, including finger dexterity and use of equipment controls.
  • Ability to safely ascend and descend ladders and stairs while carrying equipment.
  • Working outdoors in all seasons with varied weather conditions.
  • Safely complete work involving possible daily exposure to chemicals and fertilizers with appropriate Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Other tasks as directed by the Superintendent

Skills and Qualifications

  • Knowledge of the general operation and servicing methods of gasoline, diesel, and electric powered equipment.
  • Ability to operate tools, machinery, and equipment.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects (50+ lbs.).
  • 1 year experience preferred
  • Valid Driver’s License required.
