Job description

Grande Oaks Golf Club, located in Davie, FL, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a Full-Time Golf Course Maintenance - General Laborer! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.
Position Summary
The Golf Course Maintenance - General Laborer is responsible for assisting in the daily maintenance and upkeep of the golf course, landscaping, and club grounds. This position plays an important role in ensuring the course is maintained to club standards and provides an exceptional playing experience for members and guests.
Essential Responsibilities
  • Mow greens, tees, fairways, roughs, and other turf areas as assigned
  • Perform bunker maintenance including raking, edging, and sand upkeep
  • Assist with golf course setup including tee markers, cups, ropes, signage, and ball washers
  • Operate hand tools, blowers, trimmers, utility vehicles, and maintenance equipment safely
  • Assist with irrigation repairs, watering, and drainage projects
  • Perform landscaping duties including trimming, planting, mulching, pruning, and weed removal
  • Remove debris, leaves, fallen branches, and trash from the course and grounds
  • Assist with fertilizer and pesticide applications under supervision
  • Help prepare the course for tournaments, special events, and daily play
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
  • Follow all safety procedures and club policies
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors

Qualifications
  • Previous landscaping, golf course, or outdoor labor experience preferred but not required
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Dependable attendance and punctuality required

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds regularly
  • Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods of time
  • Ability to work early mornings, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed

Work Environment
  • Outdoor work environment with exposure to heat, humidity, rain, noise, chemicals, and moving equipment
  • Fast-paced environment requiring flexibility and teamwork
