LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONValid Driver’s License, and DMV Driving History Printout (no more than 30 days old).            

JOB SUMMARY

Event preparation and live operation of digital and analog audio and/or lighting consoles in various settings. Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and reconfigure live production equipment including audio consoles, outboard gear, microphones, lighting fixtures and all related cables. Safely moving and storage of stages, various production equipment, and related cables. Set up and connection of stages, risers, microphones, stands, seating, and musical instruments. Maintain a professional, helpful demeanor while working with corporate clients and performing artists. Assist F.O.H. Engineer, Monitor Engineer, and Lighting Designer as instructed.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Previous experience in live operation of digital/analog audio mixing consoles and/or lighting control systems required, Hog 3 experience a plus. Must be able to follow written and oral instructions. Must be able to work in a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment. Must be able to read, write and communicate verbally in English.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Operate audio or lighting consoles (Live Engineering).
  1. Install, troubleshoot, and maintain sound and/or lighting equipment.
  1. Setting up and connecting stage as well as other prep work for incoming bands/performers/clients.
  1. Actively participate in the safety awareness for the performers, crew, and guests.
  1. Safe handling of all props, technical equipment and tools.
  1. Other job related duties as assigned and instructed by management.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The work requires various activities such as frequent walking, sitting for long periods and withstand prolonged standing, stretching, bending and kneeling without restriction. Must be able to lift or move up to 75 lbs on a recurring basis; climb ladders and work at heights. The work may require specific, but common, physical characteristics and abilities such as above-average agility and dexterity.

WORK CONDITIONS

The working conditions involve working around high sound volumes for prolonged periods of time. The work involves moderate risks or discomforts requiring special safety precautions, e.g., working around moving parts, carts, or machines, or with irritant chemicals. Employees may be required to use protective clothing or gear such as masks, glasses, hard hats, gloves and boots. Use of safe work practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, and observance of fire regulations and traffic signals. The work is performed indoors and outdoors in extreme temperatures. The work environment involves exposure to second hand smoke in a casino. This is a 24 hour/7 day a week work environment with varying shifts including weekends and holidays.
