Middle School Football Coach PositionPosition: Middle School Football Coach Employment Type: Coaching Stipend Position Bland County Public Schools is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to serve as the Middle School Football Coach. The successful candidate will provide leadership, instruction, and mentorship to student-athletes while promoting teamwork, sportsmanship, discipline, and academic responsibility.Responsibilities:Develop and implement football practices focused on skill development, teamwork, and player safety.Teach fundamentals of football, including offensive and defensive concepts, conditioning, and proper techniques.Create a positive and supportive team environment that encourages student growth and character development.Supervise student-athletes during practices, games, and team activities.Promote sportsmanship, respect, accountability, and commitment among players.Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, school staff, and administration.Follow all school division policies, athletic guidelines, and safety procedures.Maintain knowledge of current coaching techniques, rules, and best practices.Qualifications:Previous football coaching experience preferred.Strong knowledge of football fundamentals and player development.Ability to work effectively with middle school-aged students.Commitment to student-athlete success both on and off the field.Must meet all school division and VHSL coaching requirements (if applicable).Must complete required background checks and training.Preferred Skills:Experience coaching youth or middle school football.Strong leadership and communication skills.Ability to motivate and build positive relationships with student-athletes.
