Job description

The Field Operations & Production Systems Associate plays a critical role in supporting the operational infrastructure of NFL Films' production, event, and football operations. This position focuses on system oversight, workflow optimization, and cross-departmental coordination to ensure smooth execution of onboarding, credentialing, hiring, and on-location operational processes. The role also contributes directly to football operations at games and events, serving as a reliable on-site operational resource.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, event-driven environment and brings a systems-minded approach to operational challenges.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee hiring operations for all remote productions, including freelancers across shoot and football schedules.
  • Manage the onboarding workflow to ensure new crew members are set up correctly in payroll and operational systems.
  • Collaborate with office managers and departmental leads to strengthen and standardize hiring practices across production and football operations.
  • Partner with the Field Operations VP and department managers to maintain, refine, and scale systems that drive efficiency and consistency across production, event, and football operations.
  • Serve as a point of contact for troubleshooting system issues and coordinating solutions with internal and external partners.
  • Coordinate logistics for football operations, including crewing, travel, scheduling & media return for on-location crews.
  • Provide on-site operational support at games and events, assisting with logistics, credentialing, crew coordination, and real-time problem solving.
  • Work closely with HR and Security to coordinate background clearances for all on-location personnel
    Partner with Finance to support the NFL's freelance payroll company relationship, including system navigation, troubleshooting, and daily operational maintenance.
  • Collaborate with Project Management to support timecard workflow accuracy and ensure project assignments are communicated clearly.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree plus 3-5+ years of experience in operations, production coordination, event operations, or related fields.
  • Strong organizational and systems-thinking mindset.
  • Ability to manage multiple workflows with accuracy and urgency.
  • Excellent communication and cross-team coordination skills.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, event-driven environments.
  • Proficiency with operational systems, databases, or workflow tools (experience with payroll or credentialing systems a plus).
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and travel as needed for games and events.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting production, event operations, or football operations in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. A post-graduate degree in Operations, Production or Sports related field is a plus.
  • Prior experience working with freelance or project-based workforces, including understanding of crew roles and on-location production needs.
  • Demonstrated ability to improve processes, document workflows, and identify operational inefficiencies.
  • Experience coordinating logistics for on-location crews, including travel, scheduling, or credentialing.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, troubleshoot system issues, and support system development.
  • Working knowledge of NFL Films' operations, game-day workflows, or sports production environments (preferred but not required).
  • Ability to build strong relationships across departments, including Production Management, HR, Security, Finance, and Project Management.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with payroll or credentialing platforms is a plus.

Travel:
Approximately 10% of this position will require travel.
Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, based on project and event schedules.
Ability to travel for on-location events or production work as required.
Terms /Expected Hours of Work:
NFL employees are required to work 40 hours per week. Additional hours may be needed during peak times.
