Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting or finance experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum of 2 years of leadership, team lead, or supervisory experience.
  • Experience with cost accounting, inventory accounting, and financial reporting in a manufacturing setting.

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing accounting principles and costing methodologies.
  • Experience with job order costing and inventory valuation.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, influence cross-functional partners, and build effective working relationships throughout the organization.
Summary

The Finance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, cost accounting activities, inventory controls, and financial reporting processes across multiple manufacturing locations. This role serves as a key business partner to operations by converting financial and manufacturing data into meaningful insights that support profitability, operational efficiency, and informed decision-making.

The position supports two high-precision medical device manufacturing facilities in Minnesota and one facility in Puerto Rico. The Finance Supervisor leads the plant finance team, ensures compliance with accounting standards and internal controls, and supports the Finance Manager in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and business analysis.

Reports To: Finance Manager

Direct Reports: Accounting and Finance personnel, including Accountants, AP/AR personnel, Cost Accountants, and other finance staff as assigned.

Travel: Occasional travel between Minnesota and Puerto Rico facilities may be required.
