) Job Summary
As a Weekend Nurse Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating nursing services for residents during weekend shifts, in collaboration with the Director of Nursing and facility leadership. This role includes overseeing nursing staff, ensuring high standards of care, maintaining regulatory compliance, and promoting a safe and supportive environment for residents and staff during weekends.
Clinical Oversight and Patient Care:
  • Ensure nursing care is delivered according to established standards, protocols, and facility policies during weekend operations.
  • Supervise and monitor medication administration, treatments, and resident assessments.
  • Assess residents' physical, emotional, and mental conditions and ensure timely interventions.
  • Respond promptly to changes in resident condition and coordinate appropriate care.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members (physicians, therapists, social services) as needed to ensure continuity of care.

Staff Management:
  • Supervise, mentor, and support nursing staff including Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) during weekend shifts.
  • Ensure appropriate staffing coverage and assignment completion.
  • Address staffing issues such as call-offs and assist with scheduling adjustments.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and corrective action to staff as necessary.
  • Promote adherence to facility policies, procedures, and professional standards.

Regulatory Compliance and Quality Assurance:
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as facility policies and procedures.
  • Monitor documentation for accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
