We're Hiring: Event Planner
Are you a systems-loving, people-savvy coordinator who gets excited about turning partnerships into powerhouse revenue streams?
SelfPublishing.com is looking for an Event Planner to help us grow our affiliate and promotional partnership program by supporting the Head of Business Development in landing, delivering, and renewing high-performing partnerships. You'll be the glue that holds our strategic partner process together-from onboarding, asset delivery, and event execution to post-event renewals.
This role is built for someone who thrives in execution, loves seeing things through from A to Z, and is motivated by growth, results, and relationships.
What You'll Be Doing
As the Event Planner, your primary goal is to drive affiliate revenue and qualified appointments by:
Ensuring the Success of Live Partnership Events
  • Schedule and manage launch calls and run-throughs
  • Coordinate with the marketing team on key assets (emails, landing pages, follow-up sequences)
  • Test, manage, and deliver all partner-facing promotional materials
  • Track registration and revenue goals to ensure event success
Renewing Partners for Evergreen or Additional Promotions
  • Lead post-event debrief calls and capture lessons learned
  • Renew existing partners-especially those that don't require new negotiation
  • Identify evergreen opportunities and grow recurring revenue per partner
Creating Raving-Fan Partners
  • Manage invoices and commissions (in partnership with our Finance Team)
  • Ensure on-time commission payouts and performance bonuses
  • Send partner appreciation gifts and touchpoints to keep morale high
Freeing Up the Head of Biz Dev's Time
  • Take administrative and coordination tasks off his plate so he can stay focused on closing
  • Act as an executive assistant when needed to help move deals forward faster

You'll Know You're Winning When...
These are the key metrics you'll help improve and own:
  • Sales per Partner (Increase the average order value of our deals)
  • % of Events That Hit Registrant & Revenue Goals
  • % of Events That Happen on Scheduled Date
  • Revenue from Renewals & Evergreen Deals
  • % of Renewal Calls Booked and Completed
  • LTV of Partnerships

You'll Thrive In This Role If You...
  • Love juggling both people and process-you're an organized operator with a warm, can-do attitude
  • Naturally think in systems and love making things run smoother
  • Are energized by deadlines, deliverables, and seeing events come together
  • Enjoy supporting others and playing a key behind-the-scenes role in growth
  • Take ownership, follow through, and always look for ways to improve

Must-Haves
  • Experience with Hubspot and CRM or pipeline management
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects at once
  • Excellent communication and follow-up skills
  • Comfortable with coordinating between departments and keeping stakeholders on track

Bonus If You Have:
  • Sales, operations, or assistant background
  • Previous experience in event planning or partnership/affiliate management
