Epic Senior Analyst | Ambulatory and Bones

North Point Technology is seeking an experienced Epic Senior Analyst to support EpicCare Ambulatory, Kaleidoscope, and Bones applications within a healthcare environment. This role focuses on application implementation, configuration, workflow optimization, testing, production support, and integration with other clinical and administrative systems. The ideal candidate will work closely with clinical stakeholders, physicians, operational teams, trainers, and application analysts to improve Epic functionality and patient care workflows.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the implementation, configuration, modification, and maintenance of Epic applications.

• Build and optimize EpicCare Ambulatory, Kaleidoscope, and Bones workflows.

• Collaborate with stakeholders, end users, and application team members to optimize application configuration, functionality, and access.

• Serve as a primary support contact for application users.

• Lead all phases of application testing and workflow documentation.

• Analyze clinical work processes and determine how application changes will affect workflows.

• Identify application issues and guide the team through investigation and resolution.

• Evaluate and resolve service tickets, implement requested changes, and retrieve requested data.

• Provide oversight, leadership, and technical guidance to associate and junior Epic analysts.

• Support junior team members with application issues and daily operations.

• Collaborate with trainers to develop documentation and training strategies for application changes and new features.

• Work with clinical stakeholders, physicians, operational teams, and end users to ensure the application meets business and clinical requirements.

• Support physician practice, hospital outpatient, ophthalmology, and patient care workflows.

• Support integration points involving scheduling, laboratory, radiology, billing, imaging, and inpatient clinical systems.

• Participate in project meetings, operational committees, and application planning activities.

• Provide leadership with regular updates regarding project status, risks, and application issues.

• Participate in an on call rotation and provide support outside normal business hours when required.

• Identify opportunities to improve application functionality, workflows, system performance, and user experience.

• Support Epic upgrades, enhancements, system releases, and production launches.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, healthcare administration, or a related field.

• Active EpicCare Ambulatory certification.

• Active Epic Kaleidoscope certification.

• Active Epic Bones certification.

• At least five years of relevant experience, preferably within a healthcare or healthcare related organization.

• Hands on experience building, configuring, implementing, and supporting Epic applications.

• Experience with application testing, workflow documentation, production support, and issue resolution.

• Strong operational, organizational, analytical, and project management skills.

• Ability to recognize, analyze, and resolve complex application and workflow problems.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with clinical, technical, and operational teams.

• Ability to lead, motivate, develop, and train junior analysts.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related business applications.

• Ability to participate in an on call rotation and work evenings, nights, or weekends when necessary.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience supporting EpicCare Ambulatory, Kaleidoscope, and Bones in a live healthcare environment.

• Experience supporting physician practice and hospital outpatient workflows.

• Familiarity with ophthalmology physician practice workflows.

• Knowledge of patient access and patient experience workflows.

• Understanding of Epic integration points involving scheduling, laboratory, radiology, billing, imaging, and inpatient clinical applications.

• Experience leading Epic implementations, upgrades, testing, and production launches.

• Experience providing technical oversight and mentorship to junior Epic analysts.

• Strong knowledge of clinical workflows, application configuration, and workflow optimization.
