Epic Implementation Specialist 

Location: UCHealth UCHlth Admin 2450 Peoria, US:CO:Aurora

Department: UCHlth EPIC

Work Schedule: Full Time, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)  

Shift: Days 

Pay: 20.15 - 30.22 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience

This is a one-year PROJECT ONLY position with the potential for extension. You will be a full-time, hourly employee of UCHealth and eligible for our employee benefits package. This hybrid position may be based in Metro Denver, Colorado Springs, or Fort Collins; however, you must reside in Colorado. Travel among all UCHealth sites will be required. Days/Hours will vary. You must be available/willing to work a varied schedule. 

The Implementation Specialist team provides on-site shoulder support for new users during Epic EHR Go-Live projects at all UCHealth locations and affiliates in Colorado and surrounding states. Implementation Specialists are expected to complete a 90-day intensive training program designed to learn 6 Epic applications. Team members will be required to pass assessments for each Epic application. Upon completion of the program, team members are assigned to provide expert level support. You will partner with analysts to complete necessary tasks related to the build, testing and go-live preparations. Team members will work in fast paced environments and are expected to provide professional support at all times. 

Summary:

Performs first level analysis of the daily use and administration of assigned IT system(s).

Responsibilities:

  • Assists with the installation of assigned IT systems and provides clinical application support via onsite and virtual rounding.
  • Analyzes, tests, and troubleshoots existing and proposed workflows and assigned systems to identify improvements that enhance efficiency and support patient care.
  • Generates reports as requested. Provides support and troubleshooting to end users.
  • Documents end-user issues.
  • Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED.

  • 6 months of relevant experience
  • Epic experience
