Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist (RRT/CRT) for a night shift position requiring at least 2 years of specialty experience.

Details
  • Work in the Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics unit of a hospital setting
  • Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 18:45 to 7:15
  • Weekend coverage required every other weekend
  • No call-in requirement
  • Epic EMR experience preferred
Requirements
  • Current ACLS and BLS certifications required, AHA certifications required
  • CRT or RRT certification required
  • State license required if applicable
  • Compact or LA license required in hand upon consideration
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in specialty required
  • Must be an experienced RT, new graduates will not be considered
  • First-time travelers will be considered as long as they meet experience requirements
Additional Information
  • May be assigned to an Emergency Team during declared emergency events, requiring the traveler to remain onsite until the event passes or serve as part of a relief team
  • Orientation is held five days a week
  • Candidates must live more than 65 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
  • RTO must be documented on the candidate profile and discussed during the interview process
  • Candidates who previously worked as permanent staff or in-house agency contractors must have a one-year separation before returning as a traveler
