Job description

National Student Recruitment and Enrollment Manager

Mission:TheNational Student RecruitmentandEnrollment Manager contributes to the annual student enrollment cycle that starts with recruitment and ends with 100% enrollment on the first day of school.As a national staff member, theywill support and coach theirassignedregion's Student Enrollment Coordinator (SECs), who are campus-based staff members that report to the Assistant Principal of Operations (APOs) in charge of acquiring, nurturing, and converting prospective applicants into enrolled students. They will also lead regional SEC tactical calls, APO partnerships, field management, and accountability tactics to drive SECs to meet their ambitious enrollment goals.The National Student Recruitmentand Enrollment Manager reports directly to theDirector of Enrollmentand is part of the national teamparticipatingin all national operating mechanismsandassistsother regions asdeterminedby thenational team.They are alsopart ofallHQ enrollmentinitiatives and carry out otherassigned HQ dutiesinthe benefit of all regions.

Location:

This is a full-time on-site position based in Texas, with preference given to candidates who live in Austin, El Paso, Houston, Permian Basin (Midland/Odessa), Rio Grande Valley, San Antonio, and Tarrant County (Fort Worth), or who are willing to relocate.

WhatYou'llDo-Accountabilities

Essential Duties:

  • Coach and support assigned regional Student Recruitment and Enrollment Managers & Student Enrollment Coordinators (SECs) through data-driven coaching, field visits, and tactical calls to strengthen recruitment execution, applicant nurturing, and conversion strategies.
  • Lead and manage national recruitment and enrollment initiatives, ensuring alignment between national strategy and regional execution to drive applicant acquisition, re-registration, and registration completion.
  • Partner with APOs, RDO's and regional enrollment teams to ensure consistent implementation of IDEA's enrollment systems, compliance standards, and family engagement strategies across all campuses.
  • Analyze regional and national enrollment data toidentifytrends, opportunities, and risks, and implement targeted interventions that improve applicant-to-enrollment conversion rates and overall recruitment effectiveness.
  • Codify and share best practices across regions by developing tools, systems, and resources that strengthen campus-level execution and ensure consistency in enrollment practices.
  • Design and deliver professional development and training sessions for regional and campus staff, focusing on recruitment tactics, customer service, applicant nurturing, and audit readiness.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing, Operations, and National Enrollment teams to plan and execute national campaigns, large-scale recruitment events, and cross-functional initiatives that enhance IDEA's family experience and brand presence.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Contribute nationalinsightand recommendations to inform strategy, improve systems, and enhance tools used across all regions.
  • Provide support during key enrollment milestones such as lottery, re-registration, and registration, ensuring smooth execution and high family satisfaction.
  • Serve as a national liaison between HQ and regional teams to ensure clear communication, alignment, and accountability on goals and initiatives.
  • Participate in national and regional enrollment events, professional development sessions, and working groups to strengthen team collaboration and operational consistency.
  • Work a non-traditional school schedule aligned with a sales and recruitment model, which includes working on weekends to support Student Enrollment Coordinators whooperateTuesday through Saturday, with a corresponding day off during the week.

Physical Requirements:

Frequent travel by car or airplane across multiple regions in Texas and occasionally outside the state to conduct site visits, attend recruitment events, support campuses, andparticipatein national meetings or initiatives.
Ability to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends, as the role follows a non-traditional school schedule aligned with a sales and recruitment model to support campus-based Student Enrollment Coordinators and family engagement events.
Ability to stand, walk, and engage in outdoor activities (such as block-walking, tabling, or attending community events) for extended periods during recruitment or enrollment activities.
Ability tolift upto 25 pounds when setting up or transporting recruitment materials, event signage, or presentation equipment.
Prolonged periods of sitting and computer use to conduct planning, data analysis, virtual coaching, and communication tasks.
Fieldwork and on-site support that may involve walking between locations,assistingwith event setup or teardown, and working in varying weather conditions.
Ability to travel by car or airplane for regional and cross-state meetings,trainings, and professional development opportunities, which require overnight stays.

Salaries for people entering this role typically fall between $68,886 and $79,908,commensurate with relevant experience and qualifications and in alignment with internal equity.This role is also eligible for performance pay based on organizational performance and goal attainment.
