Registered Nurse

Job Title: Registered Nurse

Profession: Nursing

Experience: Minimum 2 years of RN experience

License: RN License

Certifications: BLS, ACLS

Description: The unit has 4 endoscopy procedure rooms. There are approximately 25 staff members. Day shift staff primarily consists of RNs, with scrub techs and scope room techs. Night shift is on call only. The department handles approximately 20-30 patients each weekday. Equipment includes Olympus scopes and Provation procedural documentation EMR Meditech. All RNs are trained to admit, circulate, and scrub in procedural cases. They also recover and discharge patients. Preferred candidates will have PACU or ICU experience, but it is not required. Typical procedures performed include EGD, colonoscopy, ERCP, and bronchoscopy. The ideal candidate is fast-paced, a multi-tasker, a quick learner, and comfortable in frequently changing situations. Team-oriented individuals are encouraged to apply. Floating to other areas is rare. Dress code requires hospital-issued scrubs and adherence to surgical attire policy. There are no visible piercings allowed. Weekday and weekend on-call duties are required for all staff.
