Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an inpatient Oncology/Hematology position requiring ONS chemotherapy certification and Epic EMR experience.

Details
  • Inpatient Oncology unit (3 South) โ€” a 28-bed adult acute care hematology/oncology unit within a large academic medical center
  • The unit also includes a 15-bed intermediate care Stem Cell Transplant Unit (SCTU)
  • Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4
  • Night shift, 7pโ€“7a (4x12-hour shifts per week)
  • 36 or 48 hours per week available
  • 13-week contract
  • Every other weekend and every other holiday required
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Floating required per facility float policy
Requirements
  • Active VA or Compact RN license (pending VA license accepted)
  • Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
  • ONS Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy certification required (pending cert considered depending on experience, with possible requirement to complete fundamentals before start)
  • Inpatient oncology or hematology nursing experience required
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Two professional references required for consideration
  • Copy of Driver's License and Social Security Card required for consideration
Additional Information
  • Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must wait at least 12 months before returning as a traveler
  • No radius rule โ€” local candidates are welcome to apply
  • Up to 40 hours of RTO available per 13-week contract
