Job Requirements / Qualifications
  • Board-certified Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
  • Minimum 2 years of CRNA clinical experience (Level I/II trauma or academic experience preferred; outpatient-only candidates considered)
  • Valid Virginia RN license required
  • Current AHA ACLS and BLS certifications
  • COVID-19 and seasonal influenza vaccinations required (no exemptions)
  • Provide two professional references with application
  • Epic EMR experience preferred
Primary Responsibilities
  • Deliver perioperative anesthesia care across the full CRNA scope of practice in a Level I trauma center (trauma anesthesia, adult and adolescent cases)
  • Provide anesthesia coverage in main OR, outpatient surgery, endoscopy, and GI procedure rooms (OR coverage, outpatient anesthesia)
  • Manage complex adult cases and end-of-life scenarios (excluded: open heart/thoracic, pediatrics, obstetrics, peripheral nerve blocks)
  • Collaborate with anesthesiologists, CRNAs, residents, surgeons, and multidisciplinary clinical teams
  • Document patient care accurately in Epic EMR and adhere to departmental policies, protocols, and safety standards
  • Participate in assigned orientation, departmental training, and quality improvement initiatives
