Position Summary
The Machine Specialist is a key member of the production team responsible for operating, maintaining, and optimizing a specialized machine within the production process. This position requires in-depth knowledge of the assigned equipment, proactive identification of issues, and the ability to implement maintenance and repair solutions to minimize downtime and ensure consistent production quality.
Key Responsibilities
  • Learn and master the operation, functions, and technical details of the assigned machine.
  • Run and monitor production processes using the machine to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and quality standards are met.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair machine issues, including identifying root causes of recurring or related problems.
  • Design, document, and execute a regular preventative maintenance plan to maximize equipment performance and longevity.
  • Collaborate with maintenance, QA, and production teams to minimize disruptions and address cross-functional issues.
  • Recommend improvements to processes, tooling, and maintenance practices.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, adjustments, downtime, and maintenance activities.
  • Follow all company safety protocols, PPE requirements, and regulatory compliance standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support production and team needs.
Education amp; Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training in mechanics, hydraulics, or electronics preferred.
  • Previous experience working with industrial machinery in a production environment is strongly preferred.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
