Job Opportunity: Electrician – Join Our Team!

Are you an experienced Electrician seeking a challenging and rewarding opportunity? We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Electrician to join our team at a correctional facility. If you’re passionate about maintaining electrical systems and excel in troubleshooting, we’d love to hear from you!

Position Summary

$30-35/Hr

As an Electrician, you will be crucial in maintaining and repairing electrical systems throughout our facility. Your role involves performing both preventive and corrective maintenance on various systems, including lighting, emergency generators, and life safety systems. Additionally, you’ll work closely with our Electronic Security Technician to ensure the integrity of fire, life safety, and electronic security systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Electrical Maintenance: Maintain and repair lighting throughout the facility and grounds, including emergency lighting and electrical system components.
  • Emergency Systems: Perform maintenance on emergency generator systems and UPS systems per manufacturer specifications.
  • Technical Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair telephone systems, computer cables, and related equipment issues.
  • Safety Systems: Ensure the functionality of life safety systems through regular maintenance and repairs.
  • Contract Coordination: Coordinate with external contractors for specific work and respond to on-call emergency repair needs.
Qualifications
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in secondary electrical systems, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of electrical trade practices, ability to read blueprints and schematics, and proficiency in troubleshooting electrical systems.
