American Electrician has proudly served the Colorado Springs community for over 30 years. As we continue to grow, we're looking for a highly motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our team and help drive our success into the future.


As a Journeyman Electrician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in residential and/or commercial settings. This role includes troubleshooting electrical issues, ensuring all work meets code requirements, and providing safe, reliable service to customers or job sites.


Responsibilities Include:

  • Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems, wiring, fixtures, and equipment
  • Diagnose electrical problems using testing devices such as meters and circuit testers
  • Install and troubleshoot lighting systems, outlets, switches, breakers, and panels
  • Perform routine inspections of electrical systems
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams
  • Ensure all installations and repairs comply with local, state, and national electrical codes
