Entry Level Residential Electrician Summary

Entry Level Residential Electrician Qualifications and Skills:

  • Submit to and pass drug screen.
  • Valid Social Security Card
  • Valid state drivers license with acceptable record
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
  • Stand, kneel, pull continuously throughout a 10 hour shift

Residential Electrician Daily Duties:

  • Assemble, install, test and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools.
  • Trace out short circuits in wiring, using test meter.
  • Measure cut and bend wire and conduit using measuring instruments and hand tools.
  • Maintain tools, vehicles and equipment and keep parts and supplies in order.
  • Drill holes and push or pull wiring through opening, using hand and power tools.
  • Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers and other components.
