Comprising more than 130 personnel, the Integrated Warfare Systems Group (IWSG) delivers expertise across program and project management, acquisition and contracting, systems and digital engineering, software development, test and evaluation, sustainment and lifecycle management, cybersecurity, international/Foreign Military Sales, strategic communications, and IT services. These capabilities support more than 100 Above Water Sensor, Undersea, and Combat System programs and projects within the Navy's Portfolio Acquisition Executive for Mission Systems, Maritime and Munitions, as well as clients at Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, and the Office of Naval Research. #KS #FC #Dice

Responsibilities

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to support the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) Electromagnetic & Sensor Systems Department (B).

Candidate will support the test, evaluation & integration (TE&I) efforts related to configuration management of electromagnetic and sensor systems, including: generate test procedure,  execute tests, and analyze results on radars, comms, and EW systems to improve system performance. Candidate will perform full-spectrum analysis of radar and EW systems. Candidate will utilize M&S programs, such as MATLAB and Python, to conduct computations and modeling.  

Support the testing and integration of developmental sensors & systems. Focus is on early identification of EMI vulnerabilities for the sensors/systems in development.

  • Heavy focus on model and simulation (M&S) of EMI problems
  • Test planning, test procedure development, test execution, analyze test data, create test reports
  •  Candidate must have the ability to work from NSWC Dahlgren 5 days per week on average with some travel expected (up to 10%).

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Reports onsite to NSWC Dahlgren, up to full time, depending upon client needs
  • Experience with M&S (MATLAB, Python)
  • Experience with Radio Frequency (RF) equipment (spectrum analyzer, signal generator, etc.)
  • Ability to obtain a DoW Secret Clearance, and the ability to maintain it throughout employment

Desired Qualifications: 

  • Active or interim DoD Secret clearance, and the ability to maintain it throughout employment
  • Experience in areas of Electrical Engineering, E3, EMI, and/or EMC
  • Experience with test, evaluation, and integration (TE&I) of Navy Radar, Comms, and Electronic Warfare (EW) systems
