Job description

Quiet Waters Landing, located in Annapolis, MD , is in need of a qualified worker to join our service team. This person will be expected to respond to maintenance work orders, perform preventative maintenance as directed, and prepare units for move-in. Ideal candidates will work well both with a team and individually. Excellent customer service skills required; some prior experience in residential maintenance is preferred.
The salary for this position is $23.00 an hour plus phone allowance and bonus opportunities
At WPM your job as a Service Technician is to respond to maintenance repair requests, perform preventative maintenance, and prepare units for move-in for new residents. Some of your responsibilities will include:
  • HVAC troubleshooting and maintenance
  • Hanging, prepping, and sanding drywall
  • Electrical repairs
  • Upkeep and repair of appliances
  • Plumbing work
  • Painting common areas and apartments
  • Maintaining cleanliness, order, and safety on the property's grounds
  • Assisting with snow removal
  • Participating in a rotating on-call schedule for evening, weekend, and holiday coverage for emergencies

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Demonstrated plumbing, electrical, or carpentry skills required
  • Must be available on-call for emergencies on evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Valid driver's license, vehicle and travel required
  • Able to troubleshoot minor electrical problems within various types of fixtures and equipment
  • Required to work on ladders, lift to a height up to 85'

Education and Experience:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 3-5 years' experience in site maintenance required
