Overview
We are seeking a Drywall & Paint Technician to join our team! This position will be responsible for installing, repairing, finishing, and painting drywall surfaces in residential and commercial projects. Duties include measuring and cutting drywall panels, hanging and securing drywall, taping and mudding seams, sanding surfaces, repairing holes and cracks, and preparing walls and ceilings for painting. Also the Drywall & Paint Technician will apply primers, paints, stains, and finishes using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment while ensuring a high-quality finish.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
  • Perform drywall repairs, including patching, taping, mudding, sanding, and texturing.
  • Prepare surfaces for painting, including drywall finishing and wall repairs.
  • Apply professional-quality paint, primer, and finishes to walls, ceilings, trim, and other surfaces.
  • Read schematics and blueprints to accurately interpret project requirements and ensure precise installation.
  • Coordinating with other trades and reporting progress/issues to project leaders.
  • Measure, cut, hang, and secure drywall panels on walls and ceilings according to project specifications and blueprints.
  • Conduct repairs for water damage restoration or mold remediation projects by replacing damaged drywall or applying specialized treatments.
  • Maintain cleanliness of work areas, tools, work vehicles, and equipment used to perform job duties.
  • Must maintain compliance with local building codes, health, and safety regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Education
    • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
  • Experience
    • Proven experience in drywall hanging and finishing on construction sites with a strong understanding of blueprint reading and schematics.
    • Familiarity with construction estimating processes and the ability to assess project scope accurately.
    • Knowledge of construction plumbing, water damage restoration procedures, mold remediation practices.
  • Skills
    • Skilled with using hand tools and power equipment such as airless paint sprayers for painting or finishing tasks.
    • Proficiency in general building trades.
    • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
    • Ability to stand for prolonged periods, climb, pull, and lift heavy objects.
    • Ability to operate tools, machines, and other equipment.
    • Strong customer service skills.
    • Valid driver's license (required).
    • Must be able to work overtime, weekends, and participate in on-call rotation.
