Position Overview
Heritage Grove Estates is seeking an energetic and creative Activities Aide to support the planning and execution of engaging programs for our residents. In this role, you will assist in delivering a variety of recreational, social, and therapeutic activities that enhance residents’ quality of life.
Working under the direction of the Activities Director, you will help create a positive and inclusive environment by ensuring activities are well-organized, meaningful, and aligned with resident interests and abilities.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in brainstorming and developing creative activity ideas that meet the diverse interests and needs of residents
Support the creation and implementation of daily, weekly, and monthly activity schedules
Help promote and communicate upcoming activities to residents, families, and staff
Lead or assist with group and individual activities to ensure participation and engagement
Coordinate with vendors and community partners for events, supplies, entertainment, and services
Ensure activities are conducted safely, smoothly, and in accordance with facility guidelines
Gather feedback from residents and participants to evaluate program effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement
Maintain accurate records of activities, including participation, supplies, and related documentation
Assist in managing activity supplies and adhering to departmental budget guidelines
Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary team members to support resident-centered programming
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required
Previous experience in activities, recreation, or healthcare setting preferred
Creative thinking skills with the ability to develop engaging and meaningful activities
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and schedules
Effective interpersonal and communication skills
Basic computer proficiency, including email, documentation, and spreadsheets
Problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing situations
Knowledge of CPR and basic first aid preferred
