What are the typical responsibilities of a weekend counselor, and how does the weekend schedule impact the work?

Weekend Counselors typically supervise and support clients or residents during weekend shifts, facilitate group or recreational activities, and respond to any emergencies or conflicts that arise outside of standard weekday hours. Outstanding communication, empathy, crisis intervention, and adaptability are standout soft skills for this role. These competencies are crucial to providing effective support, ensuring client safety, and facilitating constructive weekends in residential or camp environments.

  • Familiarity with EMR systems and technology to facilitate efficient documentation and client management.
Preferred Experience
  • Specialization or extensive experience in family therapy, couples therapy, substance use disorders, or trauma-informed care is highly desirable.
  • Experience in community-based settings or with underserved populations will be beneficial.
Compensation and Benefits

  • A potential sign-on bonus presented at the interview stage for qualified LPC candidates.

At Mindfully Life Counseling Center, we believe in fostering the growth of our staff.
