Description:
Position Summary: A cook is responsible for preparing and cooking food in a casual dine in restaurant. Cooks are responsible for working with Front of House staff to ensure orders are made correctly. Cooks are also responsible for maintaining a clean kitchen in the restaurant.
Major Responsibilities:
• Food preparation (e.g. cooking sides, preparing sauces, etc.)
• Comply with health code
• Operate various kitchen appliances such as grill, stove, soup heater
• Communicating with coworkers
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Stock inventory appropriately
• Ensure that food comes out in high quality and in a timely fashion
• Maintain a professional and cooperative approach with employees
• Clean work station before the end of your shift
Requirements:
Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and carry through the restaurant. A cook must also be able to stand their entire shift.
