BIG ISLAND CANDIES HAS A SEASONAL POSITION FOR YOU......Join our exceptional Factory Team, and be a part of producing our signature products, known and enjoyed around the world. We are looking to fill the following Factory positions:

COOKIE DIPPER: Dip, Dip, Hooray! Immerse yourself in Big Island Candies' world of handmade chocolate confections! You'll (literally) have a hand in creating our famous chocolate-dipped shortbread! These specialty cookies are works of art, and we're looking for someone to join our Factory team of skilled artisans to dip cookies and various products in chocolates, caramels, etc.

BAKER HELPER: Work in our World of Confections! Be a part of producing our signature products. Do you love chocolate? Have a true passion for it with all your heart? Crave the excitement of creating a variety of delicious, high-quality confections, one sure to put beaming smiles on people's faces here in Hawaii and beyond? If you answered, "Yes!", then this may be the right position for you. Assist with baking cookies, pies, brownies, breads, etc.

COOKIE WRAPPING SPECIALIST: Seal our Treats, So Flavors Stay Fresh! As a CWS, you are an integral part of the team to help ensure that all our products are packaged with care to meet the quality standards expected by our customers. Operate a packaging equipment.

Duties/Skills/Attributes/Requirements include:

  • Demonstrate knowledge of Big Island Candies' Safety, Quality and Reliability procedures
  • Comply with Company House Rules, policies and procedures
  • Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and food safety guidelines
  • Must have good personal hygiene habits at all times to promote a safe and healthful workplace
  • Work safely to prevent injury to self and others, prevent damages to products, equipment and property
  • Maintain cleanliness within the work area
  • Work with fellow team members in a positive and professional manner to achieve daily production goals as well as able to work independently
  • Adapt to quickly changing priorities
  • Ability to communicate and share information with peers
  • Honest, hardworking and caring
  • Responsible, energetic and detail-oriented
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English
  • Possess basic math skills
  • Must be able to follow instructions
  • Able to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Able to stand for the duration of the shift
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Proof of TB clearance required

Work Hours:

Day Shift: Must be available to work full-time 8 hour shift and a 5-day work week, Monday thru Friday, 7:30 am - 4:00 pm. (For Baker Helper position only: 6:00 am - 2:30 pm).

Night Shift available starting August 24th: Full-Time 8 hours shift and a 5-day work week (priority hire), Monday thru Friday, 2:30 pm - 11 pm. Part-Time Night Shift must end at 11 pm and able to start between 3 pm - 5 pm, M-F.

Weekend and overtime may be required during busy and holiday season
