Château Ste-Marie, a friendly private seniors' residence, is looking for a motivated individual to fill a full-time cook position. POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Schedule: Monday to Friday, daytime hours, with one weekend out of three. Salary: Starting at $22 per hour
ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Managing kitchen employee schedules
Food Services
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure good teamwork
- Create tasty menus while respecting the expected level of quality and the allocated budget
- Ensure the kitchen and equipment are kept clean according to established hygiene and cleanliness standards
- Perform inventory duties, receive and store food for the kitchen
- Perform meal preparation while supervising and mobilizing staff in the kitchen
- Take inventory of service materials and while adhering to the budgets, proceed with procurement if necessary
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1 year of relevant experience will be considered an important asset
